Assalamualaykum Wa RahmatuAllah
Aah … finally after 2 years since finishing madrassah I finally decided what I want to study secularly, during my final year in madrassah I experimented in Fashion Design, got a diploma in that, then get bored easily (yup, even as a girl there is so much you can put up with new outfits everyday!)
Then I did some meddling in web design and graphics, then after graduating from madrassah I started teaching, that kept me occupied, but for the past few months I felt something missing, namely the buzz of studying. Most students look at me like :-O huh?!?! You wana swap places, but in all honesty not studyiing leaves me feeling bored and always at a loss with myself.
So I sat down and thought what I want to really do, looked in to childhood and youth studies, but even after studying 4 years you still gotta specialise in something so thought nah, then i went back to what I wanted to do at the age of 16, Psychology, looked into it and debated versus computing, then finally decided upon going for a Bachelors in Psychology.
For those who are often already subjected to my psycho analysing its worrying, but for me the road ahead looks interesting, alhumdulillah.
Also re the pal talk class’ my sincerest apologies, my laptop doesnt seemto like pal talk, so it keeps crashing on me, ive tried alot but I dont know why it wont work
I need to get a new one … but no-one seems to be free ever to help me choose one, cos quite frankly I dont know much at all, apart from the fact that I dont want an intel anymore
Gotta have a root canal and crown done also so make dua for me … the last time I went in the guy left me in so much pain, i took 6 pain killers in 2 hrs, and still had the after effects the next day :S Hate the dentist!
Just to share something I learnt whilst studying today:
This is a method of treating depression (and some other mental disabilities) that was used before the works of Psychology were better known in mental institutes.
Here’s where you thank Allah
for psychological research.
The patient is put in a spinner type of machine, it apparently is meant to bring one back to rationality …

Okay, I better go now.

Assalamualaykum
Busy working on seerah, and hearing wise cracks from friends:
I love doing tafakur (contemplation) in the beauty of Allahs creation. If you leave me alone i could contemplate for days.
Especially in front of the mirror, so much beauty to do tafakur upon.

Assalamualaykum Wa RahatuAllah
This is for all those who left comments and recieved no replies, all those who emailed and recieved no replies, I am still alive to the happiness of some and dismay of others
So ive returned after some time to actually writing something and not copy pasting things (which I personally do think is boring and un-orignal myself buuuuut ….)
So where has moi been, unfortunately no-where significantly interesting, just here, there and everywhere.
So I’ll do a break down update, If you only wana know certain stuff, feel free to skip all the other blabber in between
Ramadan & Eid
Even though this was over a month ago (or two months depending how you look at it), It was an interesting and trialing time. Ramadan went amazingly well Alhumdulillah, and so did Eid apart from the fact that it was so boring I slept through most of it. The days leading to eid were hectic, Ibadah cramming aswell as baking cramming, though alhumdulillah i did finish most of the baking before the last 10 days, the secret art of Ramadan eid baking, make items that taste better when they are left for time, such as fruit cakes, and vanilla cookies and items you can leave in the fridge for weeks
(Also baking when fasting is good it ensures you dont eat most of it there and then)
Building
So we had work going on in the house form the sunday straight after eid (which btw we celebrated on Friday)This didnt have alot do with me apart from the fact there were constant drilling and banging noise in the house, and i wasnt allowed to sleep after 7am, so it made it totally difficult to concentrate on anything for the spce of 10 days! If only construction was less noisy, maybe then people wouldnt mind it so much!
Teaching
Well this is a story all on its own, I was off from teaching for 3 weeks (great vacation to no-where!) … I appreciated the peace of not having to run from class to class and the preps, and I didnt wana return, but you can’t deny the inevitable. So teaching resumed … What do you know most of the kids havnt sat to study at home even though it was Ramadan and most parents didnt care (Oh the great nation of today!). Yeah, so that left me in a I dont wana teach anymore phase for a few days …
It took close to three weeks to settle in this term due to people returning at their own leisurely pace (maybe im too lenianat (sp?) with them)
One of my students this year is dyslexic and I rate the parents cos most dont bother teaching their dyslexic kids Quran thinking they have enough at school, but this little cutie mashaAllah puts in so much effort.
3 girls completed Quran
and so many moving on to Quran from basics.
Over all Alhumdulillah its all settling down and Im getting into the groove of things and re-discovering why I love teaching so much (Apa when are you getting married??
!! )
Seerah
For all those lovely people who have helped me with the seerah for children up to date may Allah
reward you (A special thanks to munki :D).
Im currently compiling more and inshaAllah will be in touch as soon as I get a head start and idea where im going next with the project.
I need Pictures … So if anyone has any or are any good at creating any please lemme know.
Gym
This is one part that takes up alot of my time, I have some freed up time in my teaching schedule (actually alot of time) and I decided to use it to get fit, some who know me will probably laugh at the fact because I usually make fun of the gym fanatics, for that I truely apologise (you kno who you are), working out is fun and relaxing in a sauna is even more fun, no wonder you peeps love it there so much!! Also the gym has sum pretty amazing coffee … lol
Sublicious
Soooooo slap bang in from of the gym they have opened up a halal subway of sorts called sublicious … now who can see the irony in that, so I have no idea how effective those intense cardio work outs and weight training sessions are going to be
Curious George
This monkey is cute and recently I’ve been watching his adventures, He apparently reminds people of me :S
Blood & Marrow
On to the bloodier and more painful matters, the reason I put up the post about giving blood was because i was really interested in doing it and kept being stone walled by people telling me its not allowed, but it is and InshaAllah I am going to donate. In a way its a way of getting over the fear of needles and blood, but most importantly the satisfaction that I maybe can help some-one.
Also regeistering in the bone marrow registrar, If you’re ever needed its painful (or so ive been told), but whats a little pain to helping save anothers life. (Please feel free to tell me its a walk in the park and doesnt hurt one bit
)
I highly urge all to partake in these causes.
Conclusion
And so I shall conclude here, and if I missed out anything you want to know please ask.
The answer to the first question I know will be asked : No I did NOT get married
