True Essence

Assalamualaykum

So this eid I really felt like it was Eid ul Adha!

Firstly I actually looked forward to the day cos I was gonna have company, alhumdulillah catching up with friends is great, and watching their faces when you update them on what’s happened in your life over the past two years is even greater (hehe … You still in shock Khidz?)

This eid dad and the bros went to see the actual qurbani, and Ya Allah they bought the head of the sheep home, I couldn’t even look at it !! The request was grandma’s but they had alota fun teasing us girls with it!

Now the little bro is going around making noises like a sheep about to be sacrificed!

I even did the rounds for giving out the meat, its cool fun going to everyones houses and saying “Gosht for you!”, Alhumdulillah!!

OU sent me a gift on Eid day, My course material for my first module in February, how nicely charming of them, and they showed me that I cant go for umrah in Ramadan cos I have two assignments due (Welcome to the world of the inhibited student Radiant!)

Apart from that, I’m missing my girls today, why I dunno, I usually love telling em how great it is having a break from them, but I think its becuase I miss the stories of excitement of what they did on eid, and in general how they spend special occasions, girls are much more fun to teach in that respect cos they’re more emotional and alot more enthusiastic!

Apart from that all else was well and good alhumdulillah! The food was wickedly yummy, the baking went down a treat and the company was good! What else can you ask for?!

I had a request to put up madrassah rules which I will inshaAllah soon!
