Riiiiiigght …
Posted under crazy people, head scarf by Radiant LightThe proposed changes state that only traditional scarves will be permitted in universities, tied loosely under the chin. Headscarves that cover the neck will still be banned, as will the all-enveloping burka, or chador.
(Hijab = covering the head and neck!)
Ural Akbulut, rector of the Middle East Technical University, in Ankara, says the changes represent the imposition of religious beliefs into the constitution.
“We say it will damage secularity,” he told the BBC. “Once you do that - we believe you damage democracy.”

Wouldn’t democracy be letting people express their freedom of religion?! Sheesh these people really don’t have their heads screwed on right!
Yea, you are right! Good question!
The masses have the right to express their freedom of religion in democracy. And, then, in what way the practice of religion damages democracy?
In fact, where freedom of religion paves its own way, there can be swift manifestation of democracy. And, in absence of upright faith or its downgrading, majority of systems will be in chaos.

chaos would rightly explain current day turkey, it’s a shame, it used to be a great Islamic state and has so much Islamic heritage too.
Hmm. seems you know more about current affairs & scenario. Me, not like you…:)
By the way… when we deviate from the right path, we harbor differences…and so, in many variations, there’s apparent ‘culture drift’ …then, we notice changes in our life-styles, behaviorism, customs, traditions…thus, ourselves, without a true identity.
