Rotten Onions

Posted under rotten onions by Radiant Light

Some people are like rotten onions.

They may seem rotten, but they have a tough exterior and are perfectly fine beneath, but getting to that part can make you cry. The crying is worth it cos you got what was true in the end.

The second type of rotten onion is thoroughly rotten, no matter how much you cry trying to get to whats beneath, all you find is rottenness and you’re left exhausted and disappointed.

Just my latest analogy on people :)

  1. Abdul Jawad Said,

Masha’Allah (SWT), it seems you are a good problem solver, by being a cognitive scientist. I wish one gets far better, and that what’s true…without much burden and crying.

A thoughtful analogy you’ve made in defining human personality while categorizing people to onions :)

Unfortunatley it doesn’t work quite like that, the ajr is in the difficulty and burden, and the crying in front of Allah (SWT) is ibadah too :)

  3. Abdul Jawad Said,

Though for reaping ‘ajr’, one requires patience and sinews…and that makes a difficult part. And, as for burden, Allah (SWT) (SWT)lays upon a person, in accordance to a person’s tolerance capacity.

Yea…I do agree to you :) Of course, our humble ‘crying’in front of Allah (SWT) (SWT) for legitimate purpose, is dearest to Allah (SWT) (SWT).

Inna Ma’al Usri Yusra … Verily with difficulty comes ease :)
